Our Vision for this role 

In your new role as Infrastructure Engineer, you will support us in the further development of the Contentserv SaaS offering, as an integral member of the Platform Engineering team. You will be responsible for our cloud infrastructure, from the architecture and cloud provider management to the internal services like GitLab or Kubernetes. 

Your current tasks with the opportunity to grow – What will your life at Contentserv look like? 

In your everyday work you have a diverse range of tasks with lots of space for personal development: 

  • Ensure that all the tasks are represented as code, since we have an IaC-first policy (CloudFormation, Ansible, Bash, GitLab-CI) 

  • Fully responsible for the infrastructure monitoring (Prometheus) and logging (Graylog) services 

  • Ensure all the services are up to date and upgrades happen with as little impact as possible to the internal or external customers 

  • Ensure the availability targets are met for the entire global infrastructure (so far: Germany, USA, Singapore, Japan) 

  • Manage the AWS budget together with your team colleagues 

Your profile – What do you need to fit in?

  •  

    Minimum qualifications 

    • 2+ years of proven experience with Linux-based systems 

    • 1+ years of experience working with GIT 

    • 1+ years of experience with AWS (EC2, EFS, S3, RDS, SecurityGroups, pricing, etc.) 

    • 2+ years of proven experience writing Ansible playbooks 

    • 2+ years of experience managing docker services 

    • At least B2 English level 

    • You are comfortable with Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes 

    • You are fluent in written and spoken English 

    • Experience setting up and managing (as a service to others) three of: GitLab, Artifactory, VaultWarden/BitWarden, Gitlab Runners, Traefik, Graylog, Grafana, Prometheus, SSH Jump Host, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm 

    Preferred qualifications 

    • 5+ years of experience with Linux-based systems 

    • 2+ years of experience working with GIT 

    • 3+ years of experience with AWS (EC2, EFS, S3, RDS, SecurityGroups, pricing, etc.) 

    • 3+ years of experience writing Ansible playbooks 

    • 3+ years of experience managing docker services 

    • At least one year of experience setting up and maintaining GitLab 

    • Experience setting up and managing (as a service to others): Artifactory, VaultWarden/BitWarden, Gitlab Runners, Traefik, Graylog, Grafana, Prometheus, SSH Jump Host, Alertmanager, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes
